President's Corner February 15, 2018

Dear Club Members,

Another year has passed into the rear-view mirror with many club members helping to make 2017 a very successful year. Fred Frey has just completed putting together this oustanding new website that I hope you will all make frequent use of for club information, reports on club events and planning for upcoming events. A hearty thanks to you Fred for all your efforts and to Kathy Davias and others who have provided some excellent content.

We will be continuing our regularly scheduled second Sunday and fourth Saturday breakfast
meetings and are beginning to plan a number of special events fot 2018. These include Go-Karting and a trip to the NY Auto Show in April, Connecticut back-road tours in the spring
and fall and a summer party in June. The 2018 national Alfa Romeo Convention will be held August 8- 12 in Olympia, Washington. Several CT club members are planning to attend. I would also like remind you of the opportunities afforded by our neighboring Alfa Romeo Clubs. Both AONE (Alfa Owners of New England) and NYAROC (New York Alfa Romeo Owners Club) have touring events, parties and visits to Alfa repair shops that we are welcome to attend. Also, the Northeast Coast Chapter of the Fiat Club America has a long list of Italian car events. Please let me know if you have an idea for a special event for our club.

I encourage all club members to check the AROC-CT member map to make sure that you are on it and also please take the time to forward a list of Italian cars owned to me so that we can update the 'Members Cars' listing.

Please be safe and have a wonderful year,

Roger W. Carlson 860-856-0298
